The word order would be changed in the indirect question to make a statement but preceded by a question word (urutan kata yang ada pada pertanyaan tidak langsung akan berubah, untuk membentuk kalimat berita namun didahului oleh kata tanya.)
contoh: (direct question) Where does she live?                   
                                           How have you been?
              (indirect question) I'd like to know where she lives.
                                              I wonder how you have been.

In indirect questions, the words do/did/does don't exist anymore. Instead, the verb in the direct question would be changed into the form based on the tenses in the sentence.
(dalam pertanyaan tidak langsung, kata-kata do/did/does tidak digunakan lagi . Sebagai gantinya, kata kerja di pertanyaan langsung akan berubah sesuai dengan tense yang digunakan)
example: direct question - where did she go?
                 indirect question - could you tell me where she went?

If there's no question word like who, when, what, why etc, we use 'if' or 'whether'.
(jika tidak ada kata tanya yang disebutkan diatas, maka digunakan kata 'if' atau 'whether')
example: direct question - did he just use my phone?
                 indirect question - I wonder if/ whether he just used my phone.
